Wednesday January 12, 2011 – On January 12, 2010, the ground under Port Au Prince, Haiti and its environs shook.
In 40 seconds, nearly 300,000 people died, and 1.5 million were rendered homeless.
One year later, on the first anniversary of one of the worst disasters in history, Haiti continues to struggle. Over 1 million remain homeless, thousands have died from cholera, and yet Haitians remain hopeful.
